Feb. 28th: Chievo vs. AC Milan

  • This will be the 26th meeting between Chievo and AC Milan in Serie A – the Rossoneri lead by 19 wins to two.
  • Both wins for Chievo were at the Bentegodi: one in October 2003 (3-2) and the other in December 2005 (2-1).
  • AC Milan haven’t conceded in any of their last four league games against Chievo.
  • AC Milan have failed to score only twice in Serie A against Chievo, though avoiding defeat on both occasions (0-0 in March 2003 and November 2013).
  • Chievo lost 3-0 against Empoli on the last match-day, after consecutive wins against Parma and Sampdoria.
  • Chievo have scored fewer goals at home than any other Serie A side this season (10).
  • AC Milan got back to winning ways beating Cesena last Sunday, keeping a clean sheet. The last time they won back-to-back games in the league was in October 2014.
  • The Rossoneri are winless in their last seven away games (D4 L3) – last time they’ve failed to win for a longer period was in the 2000/01 campaign.
  • AC Milan are one of two sides in this competition (alongside Napoli) yet to concede a goal from the penalty spot.
  • Mattia Destro has scored six goals in eight appearances against Chievo, his favourite target in Serie A.
  • Sergio Pellissier has netted four against AC Milan in Serie A (only one of which came on home soil).
