Mar. 4th: Both Teams to Score Betting Tips
WITH the English card curtailed by Easter celebrations on Saturday I’m going for a Scottish both teams to score treble.
Let’s start with a match between two
teams who have been on fire since the turn of the year – Elgin and East Stirling.
Both have soared up the League 2 table and both have netted in their
last seven matches. Borough Briggs meetings between the pair have
generally been high scoring with five of the last going over 2.5 goals
including a 3-2, 3-4 and 3-1. Elgin have netted 19 goals in the last
eight playings of this fixture and bagged three at home to Berwick in
midweek so an alternative bet could be Elgin to score over 1.5 goals or
even over 2.5 goals.
My second pick is Dundee Utd v Ross County in the Premiership. On
current form 3,5 underdogs County should avoid defeat after a run of
four wins in five games.
United haven’t won in the league since the end of January – before
Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong were sold – so boss Jackie
McNamara will hope the international break has given his side time to
recover from three consecutive defeats to Celtic in three competitions.
County should at least score and did so earlier in the season but I
don’t think their defence is good enough to keep a clean sheet.
Complete the treble with that Cowdenbeath v Dumbarton in the
Championship. The last four meetings at Central Park have seen both
score and a total of 20 goals.
Beath are desperate for the points while Dumbarton can relax a bit
after back-to-back wins. The Sons have a good record at Beath with four
wins on their last five visits and can do so again.
Both to score treble
Elgin v East Stirling
Dundee Utd v Ross County
Cowdenbeath v Dumbarton
